Kinetic ... The Next Chapter - 18 October 2008 @ The Emporium, Coalville

I'm Eemzee, I'm 29, from Essex.

I started DJing about 14 years ago when I got my first set of belt driven turntables,
messing around trying to get some form of mix out of them with old Hip-Hop and Drum n Bass Records.

They were never good enough to make a decent mixtape with (neither was I!) and I later
lost them over some shady shit and had a little 'break' from it for a couple of years.

That was until 1999 when I got a crappy weekend job in a local bowling alley.
All the guys there were heavily into raving and before long, I was doing anything
to make sure I was out every weekend. It was usually Hard House or Trance venues we'd go to
(Bagley's, Camden Palace and Fish @ Crash, Vauxhall bridge to name some regulars.)

It was around this time that I got the chance to use my mate's Technics and mix his Hard House tunes.
All the stuff I knew that I was supposed to be able to achieve on my old decks, but couldn't,
and the Technics were completely different. It was all suddenly achievable. I got addicted to mixing.
I was really into Tidy Trax, Nukleuz Records, Kaktai Recordings, alot of bouncy stuff,
and although the music has changed so much, the classics are hard to beat.

Within a couple of years I was playing parties and some small nights in London.
Nothing massive, but I never said no. There's no buzz like playing in front of a crowd.

2008 has been brilliant, I have been lucky enough to play @ the Emporium and Ministry Of Sound,
and as the venues have been getting bigger, so have the crouds.
All you guys that were stomping in the Hard House arena @ The Next Chapter,
Thank-you. You were amazing. I can't wait to see you at the next one!
